Time for training is increasingly tight. It takes real dedication to take a whole day off work. These sessions, lasting one to two hours, are designed to fit around the working day as breakfast or lunchtime events, or to take up a manageably small chunk of working time. We have been running these bite size events since 1995 and they continue to be amongst our most popular (and cost effective) sessions. Most can run with any size audience. Bite size sessions cost £800 each, or are available for small groups at our individual rate of £129/head (minimum 3 attendees). Like all our sessions, pricing assumes you will provide the facilities and excludes VAT, books and travel expenses. To keep costs down you could omit giving a book to attendees, but we strongly recommend it as a very effective way to sustain the message back into the workplace, which is particular important with these short sessions. The recommended book(s) for the event are listed below when an event is selected. Bite size events work fine stand-alone, but they can also be used in combination to provide a programme that really delivers change. Rather than have a preset menu, we will suggest a combination that suits your individual need. Click on an event to jump down to the detail:
As with all our seminar styles, we can develop a custom built-session or offer facilitation. Our off-the-shelf sessions suit many organizations, but should your need be to go beyond one of the packages above we can tailor a product to your exact requirements - please contact us at info@cul.co.uk to discuss your needs. After development we can deliver the course at our standard rate, licence it to you for in-house use, or sell it outright for your exclusive use. |

Imagination
Engineering - £20.99 – a challenging yet fun introduction to
business creativity incorporating a toolkit of techniques and a practical
framework to make it happen. Creativity Kickstart Phase IIFollowing on from the Creativity Kickstart, this is a second 1-1½ hour seminar that can be specially tailored to your requirements, based on what you need most to carry the learning forward into your team or organization. Best with groups of up to 20, though larger groups can be accommodated. Mix and match from these elements:
Recommended book: Imagination Engineering - £20.99 – a challenging yet fun introduction to business creativity incorporating a toolkit of techniques and a practical framework to make it happen.
Creativity LiveA 1½ to 2 hour session combining a very rapid introduction to creativity with at least an hour focussed on a real business problem. Attendees (often a team) decide on the problem to work on ahead of time, and two creativity techniques are brought to bear to generate practical ideas that can be taken back to the workplace. [Maximum 12 attendees] Recommended book: Crash Course in Creativity - £14.99 – pulls together 150 techniques and exercises from our Instant books in a structured course with guided reading and online resources.
Creative DesignA very interactive session looking at the driving forces behind design and the principles that lie behind good design. This isn't for would-be designers, though. By looking at everything from the basic design concepts of a door to the power of an effective logo, this 1½ seminar gives attendees a better understanding of how the principles of great design can be used to solve a wide range of business problems and idea requirements.
Creative TeamsA 1½ practical seminar on making your team, or the teams in your organization more effective. Gives experience of the use of ice-breakers, warmups and timeouts in getting teams working more effectively and energetically together, then moves on to the use of techniques to solve problems and create new ideas within groups, encouraging the members of the team to work most effectively together. Recommended book: Instant Teamwork - £4.99 (ebook) – contains over 70 exercises to use as ice-breakers, warmups and timeouts, and Instant Brainstorming - £4.99 (ebook) – the definitive guide to using this much attempted but rarely perfected technique.
Creativity is for WimpsAll too often we go on a creativity course, or introduce creativity techniques into an organization, only to have nothing happen. Nothing changes. This lively 1½ hour session introduces the key reasons why creativity fails to take hold - the 'failure fault lines' - and addresses dealing with these problems and making something happen. A must if you want to make a real difference with creativity. Recommended book: Creativity
and Innovation for Managers - £21.99 – a management guide to
building an agenda for creativity and innovation within a company. Not
‘how to be creative’ but ‘how to make creativity part of the corporate
culture’.
Selling Your IdeasHowever good your ideas are, the chances are you will have to sell them if they are to be implemented. This could mean selling them to your boss or your organization or selling them on the open market: this practical seminar gives guidance on how best to prepare everything from an elevator pitch to a detailed sell, including tricks of the trade from PR, marketing and the history of ideas.
The Creative AgendaWhere the other creativity bite-sized events focus on the nuts and bolts of creativity, this seminar concentrates on the agenda for building a culture where creativity can thrive. It is particularly valuable for senior managers to understand the need to provide more than lip service to supporting creativity if it is to deliver any value to the organization. Recommended book: Creativity and Innovation for Managers - £21.99 – a management guide to building an agenda for creativity and innovation within a company. Not ‘how to be creative’ but ‘how to make creativity part of the corporate culture’.
